DAD’ FINDS HIS DAUGHTER IN MORTUARY!

WHEN Kgomotso Mmabanapila (26) went missing on 5 December her father didn’t give up hope.

But on Friday morning he identified her body at the ­Ga-Rankuwa government mortuary.

Kgomotso left her home in Tlama-Tlama section in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni at about 9pm that night, saying she was going to see a friend in the kasi.

Cops discovered her body dumped at Stinkwater near Hammanskraal, over 70km away, the following day.

Her left eye was smashed and she had stab wounds in the back of her head and neck.

Her body was booked in as an unknown corpse.

Meanwhile her father, Thuti Mmabanapila (51), and her sister Virginia (22) searched for her.

Her friend, Tebogo, told the family Kgomotso did come to her that night, but she later left to go home.

A case of a missing person was reported and her picture was circulated.

Then Thuti decided to go to the Ga-Rankuwa mortuary.

Thuti said: “I was told there were two bodies of women who had been reported as unknown.

“I went quickly inside to check if I could find my daughter.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her there.

“She was still dressed in the same clothes she was wearing when she left the house.

“It looked like the killers beat her and stabbed her.”

Temba Police Station spokesman Constable Herman Moremi confirmed that a murder case had been opened at their station and that it was being investigated.
