Rapper AKA has been named one of BBC Radio 1Xtra Hot For 2016 artists.

AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, is the first South African artist to make the list.

For 8 years, BBC 1Xtra Radio has been successful in predicting artists ‘that have gone on to greater success’.

From the likes of Drake, Tinie Tempah, Sam Smith and more, the ‘Hot For ..’ list has always been on point.

AKA’s hit song Baddest is currently playlisting on BBC 1XTRA making it his second song to make it to BBC radio after All Eyes On Me.

Baddest was also recently nominated in the Best Single and Best Collaborations categories for the Metro FM Awards.
