Generations a no show at the SAFTAs, again?

Ever since it aired on the evening of 4 February 1994, the soap opera Generations has seen many families enjoy their late night supper huddled around their TV sets at 20:00 every weekday.
However, Generations has seen better days on screen, from the original award winning cast made up of actors like Lillian Dube, Paul Moroka played by David Phetoe, to the next Generation of actors who had a law-suit against the originator of the show for being over-worked and under paid.
Now, known as Generations: The Legacy it appears that the family-favourite is hitting an all-time low.
Many award winners mention that awards are nothing but recognition for hard work and are no a true representation of the acting world.
Two years in a row Generations has failed to be recognized at the South African film and Television awards.
This seemed to have touched the actors and it was evident in the lack of attendance from the cast. The only actors from this show who attended the celebration of the SAFTAs were some of those nominated on other television show, actors such as Letoya Makhene and Vusi Kunene to name a few. The rest were missing in action. Instead rivals such as Isibaya and Isidingo scooped 1 or 2 Golden Horns.

The pressure is on for the actors to up their game as Mfundi Vundla is known for giving the boot.
