Generations: The LegacyActor has been accused of dodging paying papgeld by his baby mama.
Mkhabela plays the role of Detective Zondo, who is investigating Zola Radebe's mysterious death in the SABC1 soapie.
A Pretoria-based mother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she met and became romantically involved with Mkhabela in 2002 and, after a six-month fling, she fell pregnant with her now 14-year-old boy.
"I've been trying to get his ID number so that I can take him to court for failing to pay maintenance for his child," she said.
"He is refusing to acknowledge that the child is his. He is refusing to do a paternity test and has changed his address several times."
"I tried to protect him all these years, I now feel it's too much for me raising the child alone. The boy went to a new school this year but he doesn't like the school, even though it's in town. He feels he deserves better because his father is on TV. He is being teased by the other kids, asking him why his dad does not come fetch him at school like the other kids."
The woman said at one stage Mkhabela told her to "go fly a kite and not make your issue mine".
"I do work but things have become so expensive I can't cope. When I show my boy the pictures of his father it breaks his heart, maybe he [Mkhabela] will come to his senses this time."
Mkhabela at first denied knowing the woman, saying he only knew of another woman with whom he has a child.
"Tell me you're joking. I know the mother of my child. To be honest with you, I don't know [name withheld]. Yes, I've been staying in Pretoria for the past 14 years. I moved there in 1996. I've never been approached by any lady saying they are pregnant," he said.
