DEVOTED fans of Karabo Moroka, prepare to have your hearts broken!

The much-loved Generations: The Legacy character is soon leaving the soapie.

Not for the first time, the actor who plays her, Connie Ferguson wants out of the show.

According to a statement by the show’s publicity manager Gaaratwe Mokhethi, Connie’s off to put her energy into her other projects, including making films.

Gaaratwe expressed his disappointment that Connie asked to be released from her contract and expressed his admiration for her talent.

“Connie was a significant figure in the construction of Generations: The Legacy. I will eternally be grateful for that and her contribution to the growth of our industry,” he said.

But Gaaratwe was very cagey about exactly how Karabo is going to be written out of the soapie, saying only that “Karabo is one character that set tongues wagging and her exit scenes will be no different.”

There are still a few months to go before Karabo breaks Mzansi’s hearts and leaves the programme.

Connie has been part of the show since its beginning in 1993.
