Arthur Mafokate has laughed at his recent Twitter fame.

Arthur Mafokate is obviously in better spirits following his Twitter fiasco on Monday, even cracking a joke about trending again.

He took to social media on Thursday to post pictures of himself wearing a red jacket and his 999 gear.

To be honest, we might not have even noticed if it wasn't the caption he posted alongside one of them, jokingly suggesting that people might see the colour as a sign that he is endorsing a political party which also wears red.

"Praying that my red jacket doesn't trend," he joked in the post.

The joke was not lost on his fans who filled the comments section of the post with laughing emojis.

Arthur trended on Twitter for most of Monday and Tuesday after he sang the praises of the DA's Herman Mashaba and EFF leader Julius Malema only hours before Mashaba was inaugurated as the new mayor of Johannesburg.

His remarks saw fans call his political loyalty called into question, leading to the musician posting several comments and pictures stressing his loyalty to the party.
