PHOTOS: "My King is the only reason why I felt like the prettiest girl in the world!" Queen B said after the show
Queen B had a total of six outfit changes throughout the night at the awards held on Saturday in Durban. Bonang co-hosted the awards alongside Metro FM's DJ Mo Flava.
Taking a much-needed refreshing break from regular wardrobe contributor Gert-Johan Coetzee, Bonang flew in an international stylist to help her out with her evening wear sartorial.
Bonang worked with Law Roach, renowned for always making sure that stars such as Ariana Grande and Zendaya are red carpet ready.
As a result, Bonang was the belle of the ball styled in couture ensembles that consisted of feminine silhouettes, ladylike pretty hues, edgy cuts and even played around with modern tailoring.
Some of the highlights included the longsleeve black and gold metallic column gown that Bonang donned on the black carpet. Designed by Lebanon couturer Charbel Karam, Bonang relaxed the opulent and tough luxe dress with a sleek updo.
Undoubtedly, Bonang’s best look of the night was the blush-toned tassel Yousef Al Jasmi dress that she wore during the live telecast’s opening sequence, offering her freedom of movement that read like a dream onscreen.
Bonang’s final look of the night was another showstopper. She closed the night in a strapless Nicholas Jebron draped gown.
But Queen B insists that it wasn’t her wardrobe changes that made her feel the prettiest on the night, but rather “her king”.
“My King [sic] the only reason why I felt like the prettiest girl in the world! Love you,” Bonang tweeted right after the show ended.
