The Voice SA kicks off on Sunday

THE popular American reality TV singing competition, The Voice, comes to Mzansi.

The show’s coaches and stars Lira, Karen Zoid, Kahn Morbee and Bobby van Jaarsveld are on a search for the country’s next big singing star.

The show kicks off on Sunday with the Blind Auditions and there’s no room for mediocrity. 

As the name suggests, the candidates cannot be seen, they can only be heard. 

The four top coaches will choose the best candidates after hearing the quality of their voices and technique.

The aim is for them not to be influenced by the contestants’ appearances because they are looking for the voice, not the looks.
